Commissioned by Carrara Markets.
Kangaroo Kat is a giant recycle sculpture build solely from scrapwood. It is part of a three sculpture piece I made at a large market in Gold Coast, Australia. The kangaroo was made so that you can go inside it’s pouch, which is a huge hit amongst the kids at the market.
It was named Kat after a girl who volunteered to help me and my team in building the shark along with the other two sculptures. Kat was a hard worker, always spreading good vibes and she even made tacos for the team one day, so I found it fitting to name the joyful kangaroo after her.
The giant kangaroo is 5 meters tall.
