#128
Greta Granit, named after Rhode Island's predominant mineral, has a home in Ninigret Park and is part of my upcoming "Thunderstone" exhibition in Rhode Island. She holds an array of necklaces, each made from different found materials such as sea shells, stones, glass, driftwood, and bones
Her hair is made of 300 split bamboo sticks I obtained from a local neighbor who recently cleared her garden. Over 100 people helped collect, build, and create this sculpture. It's almost 100% recycled, with an interior made of white pine from a 150-year-old barn, and over 300 pallets make up the exterior.
