Happy Wall
An interactive pixel wall for everyone to play with!
Happy Wall is an interactive installation that allows people to write and draw together on a big scale in a public space simply by flipping colored pieces of wood.
I have made the Happy Wall in Beijing, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Rio De Janeiro, Santiago de Chile, Edmonton (Canada), and Denmark, always with the same purpose: spreading happiness. No matter if you are a kid, an adult, or an old person: the Happy Wall is fun and easy to use.
The idea was born during my design school days in Kolding. Starting as an indoor pixel installation with 289 wooden blocks, it evolved over the years. In 2014, I created a simpler but much larger version in Copenhagen. From that year on, the Happy Wall has toured the world.
